TFO Introduces Light Heavyweight BVK IV Reel
So just what is a "Light Heavyweight" reel? We used the phrase to describe what consumers have been asking us for ... a light, high capacity, fully machined super large arbor reel that will handle long runs from big fish. Weighing only 8 3/4 ounces, the 4 3/4" diameter spool is 1 3/8" wide with capacity for a 12 weight line and 300 yards of 30# dacron backing - or, for our two handed friends, it comfortably handles the grandest of Grand Spey lines as well.
The BVK IV features a synthetic Rulon drag material that is maintenance free and encased to protect it from sand and debris. A one way clutch bearing eliminates start-up inertia and the reel is strategically ported to minimize weight without compromising rigidity of the frame or spool. Finally, we anodized it with the most popular color of the BVK reel family - Moss Green.
